For the people of Gbonyin LCDA of Ekiti, they always have good stories to tell concerning the accounts of stewardship of the current Chairman, Mr Benedict Oluwadamilare Ajayi.
The reason for this is not far fetched, as they are in cohorts with the pace of steady projects delivery of the administration.
As far as the Council’s expectations are concerned, that is not new to him or residents, and he has never handled whatever is due to them with glove hands.
That therefore translates to mean that the new year 2026 will not be an exception, and he is fully ready.
To say the new year 2026 was welcomed by the good people of Gbonyin LCDA with high hopes, excitement and expectation will only amount to an understatement.
In retrospect, many people in this new year will look up to the government in various levels for better governance that will improve their well being.
As it is, the good people of Gbonyin LCDA in Ekiti state can’t be different, as they are looking up the council boss to rekindle his magic wand for a continued impactful and robust governance.
Oluwadamilare Ajayi who many usually refer to as an uncommon man, doing uncommon things, and having uncommon results for people to see, will surely surpass his previous impacts in the new year, by embarking on more enduring and legacy projects .
Believably and as described of him, , he is going to start this new year with an empowerment initiative which will take place on the 7th of January at the council secretariat.
At the event ,items like motorcycles, grinding machine, cutlass, herbicides, exercise books and many more will be distributed, in a bid to improve their well being.
As a matter of fact, this is the first time such activity will be taking place in the Gbonyin LCDA.
In this new year, one otber area that Ajayi can’t but touch, is the agricultural sector, consolidating on his past efforts.
His administration will cultivate large scale maize, cassava and yam
plantation, and this will surely assist him in bringing his vision, in making the LCDA food basket of Ekiti, a reality .
Also, seedlings of cocoa,tick,palm tree and gminal tree will be planted at the nursery section, which will be sold to interested farmers at appropriate time.
This idea will definitely boost the internally generated revenue of the council.
The LCDA will also witness Infrastructural development in the new year, as township and farm roads will be touched.
Markets, begging for attention will also be attended to, as many of them will wear new look in the near year .
Environmental Sanitation in all towns and communities in the LCDA will be improved, as measure will be put in place that will bring strict compliance to the exercise.
Community development will be in the front burner as Ajayi’s administration will embark on lofty projects in Ijan Iluomoba and Aisegba, while farm settlements will not be left out.
Staff welfare will receive a boost as various initiatives that can make workers to be more dedicated and committed will be put in place, while seminars and workshops will be organized to enhance the capacity of workers .
Since this year 2026 will bring to an end, the three years tenure of the Chairman , surely he will surely consolidate on previous impacts, in a bid to leave the council area, better than he met it.
