The federal lawmaker representing Ijero/Efon /Ekiti West Federal Constituency in the National Assembly has extended his heartfelt felicitation to all teachers across the globe on the world teacher’s day.
In a statement released through his media office on Sunday, 5th October, 2025 to mark the commemoration of the world teacher’s day, he commended the unquantifiable commitment of teacher’s towards the educational advancement and their impacts towards grooming the leaders of tomorrow.
In his solidarity message to Nigerian Teachers he called for an improved welfare package for the Nigerian teachers while also urging the teachers for renewed commitment and dedication towards teaching, tutorship and mentorship of the children in their respective jurisdiction.
Furthermore, he oblige the Nigerian Students to imbibe reading culture and wholesome commitment towards their academic pursuit in order to achieve academic excellence.
Omoleye recounted and appreciate the notable achievement of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR in the educational sector and his key focus on education infrastructure, accreditation standards and curriculum, teacher training, school management, and technical and vocational education. He equally applauded Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji for providing a conducive teaching and learning environment in the State, innovative introduction of Housing and Car loans for Primary School teachers, approved new minimum wage and consequential adjustment, award of N47.8 million to outstanding primary and secondary school teachers in the state as a gesture of appreciation, encouragement, and motivation for others, he appreciates the governor for the lofty initiative while pledging to do all he could to complement the efforts of the federal and state government in advancing the plight of the teachers and students in his constituency.
The federal lawmaker calls for collective and individuals solidarity and inputs in making teaching more lucrative and attractive in the society. He also urged the government to continue to reward excellence and productivity of exceptional teachers, noting that such gestures will motivates their contemporaries.
Conclusively, he prayed that Almighty God continue to uphold the teachers and grant them divine wisdom and guidance.
