It was a moment of joy for APC members in Ward 9, Iluomoba, Ekiti, who came for a normal ward meeting as they went back home with a cash gift courtesy of the Vice Chairman of Gbonyin Local Council Development Area, Hon Adebayo Adegoye..
Hon Adebayo said he decided to give out cash gifts to the members to appreciate them for their dedication and commitment to the party.
“There is a need to encourage these women, neither in the rain nor in the sun they are always here for our meeting”, Adebayo noted.
The Vice Chairman called on all members of APC in Iluomoba, Ekiti, to come out and work dedicatedly towards the realization of the second agenda of Biodun Abayomi Oyebamji.
He explained that the governor has done so much for the town, especially in liberating the town from over twenty years of darkness and the provision of transformers, among others.
Speaking at the meeting, a notable APC member in Iluomoba, Ekiti and former commissioner for Rural Development, Hon Femi Awe, commended Hon Adebayo Adegoye for showering cash gifts on members of the party present at the meeting.
Awe, who described Hon Adebayo as a grassroots politician and a good representative of his people, called on other political appointees in the town to emulate his gesture towards the people.
Also, the ward chairman, Mr Afuye Idowu, and the women leader of the ward, Chief Mrs Dahunsi Christianah, commended the Vice Chairman for his kind gesture, and the duo assured him that all APC members in Iluomoba Ekiti are solidly behind Biodun Oyebamji’s second-term ambition.
Not fewer than 100 members present at the meeting went home with #4000 each.
