The Chairman of Ekiti West Local Government, Hon. Moses Omojola, has praised members of staff of the council for their dedication and resilience in the first half of the year, while expressing appreciation for their unwavering support, which he said contributed to Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election.

Speaking during the council’s monthly prayer programme held on Monday at the local government secretariat in Aramoko-Ekiti, Omojola thanked God for preserving the lives of workers and granting them the privilege of witnessing the second half of the year in good health and sound mind despite the challenges and uncertainties experienced over the past six months.

The council chairman commended the commitment, loyalty and diligence of the workforce, describing them as indispensable partners in the administration’s drive to deliver effective grassroots governance.

He noted that the unity and support demonstrated by members of staff played a significant role in the success recorded during the recently concluded governorship election, which returned Governor Biodun Oyebanji for a second term in office.

As part of activities marking the monthly prayer programme, Omojola celebrated members of staff born in the month of July by presenting them with cash gifts as a token of appreciation and encouragement, urging them to remain committed to excellence and public service.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ekiti West Branch, Comrade Ogundele Babatope, lauded Omojola for his generosity and consistent commitment to the welfare of workers.

He described the chairman’s gesture as a demonstration of compassionate, responsive and people-centred leadership, adding that it would further boost staff morale and inspire greater dedication to duty.

Babatope also congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election, praying for continued peace, sustained development and prosperity across Ekiti State. He reaffirmed the commitment of local government workers in Ekiti West to supporting the governor’s administration in advancing its developmental agenda.
