Omoleye Congratulates Prof. Modupe Adelabu On NECO Appointment
Hon. Biodun Omoleye, representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency ll, has extended warm congratulations to former deputy governor of Ekiti State,Prof. Modupe Adelabu on her appointment as Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Examination Council (NECO) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Hon. Omoleye described Prof. Adelabu’s appointment as ” a round peg in round hole”, noting her wealth of experience and distinguished record in academia make her eminently qualified for the position.
He highlighted her previous achievements, including her tenure as Chairman of the National Board For Technical Education (NBTE) under the administration of former President Muhammdau Buhari, where she demonstrated exemplary leadership and commitment to educational development in Nigeria.
The lawmaker further described the Ado-Ekiti-born schorlar as a pride of Ekiti State and a seasoned administrator whose contributions to the education sector have been both impactful and far-reaching.
Hon. Omoleye expressed confidence that Prof. Adelabu would bring her expertise and integrity to bear in the new role, strengthening the operation and credibility of NECO.
He also offered prayers for wisdom, strength and the necessary wherewithal for her to excel in the new national assignment.
