The Technical Advisor on Sport Development, Dr. Olusola Osetoba, disclosed that the reception has been approved by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as a mark of recognition for the athletes’ outstanding performances and commitment in representing Ekiti State at both national competitions.
Dr. Osetoba stated that the event will hold at the Lady Jibowu Hall, Governor’s Office Premises, and will commence at 10:00 a.m.
She added that the Governor has formally commended the Ekiti State contingents to the National Sports Festival and the National Youth Games for their discipline, resilience, and competitive spirit, noting that their medal-winning performances have further enhanced the state’s profile on the national sports scene. The reception, she noted, highlights the administration’s strategic support for athlete welfare and sustained sports development in Ekiti State.
