…Lauds contributions to growth of LG system

Amid pomp and pageantry, the management and staff of Gbonyin Local Council Development Area of Ekiti State, have celebrated the exit of Head of Local Government Administration, Engr Bamise Osaloni from the service after 35 years of meritorious service .
The event which took place at the chairman’s office, was witnessed by top management staff,political appointees , wives of Ado Local chairman chief Mrs Osaloni , her counterpart from Ifedara LCDA Mrs Ogunsanya and that of Gbonyin LCDA, Mrs Temitayo Ajayi .
Other high profile dignitaries at the event are: Deaconess Monisola Osaloni, wife of the celebrant, chief Popoola Taiwo Director of Finance Ekameta LCDA,Builder Ojo Sadiku,Deputy Director of Works Ado Central LCDA and many other dignitaries .
Speaking at the colourful event ,the council chairman, Gbonyin LCDA, Hon. Benedict Oluwadamilare Ajayi, showered encomiums on the retiree for being administratively ingenious and intellectually savvy in the entrenchment of an effective local government system in the state.
Hon Ajayi noted that his contributions have made the LCDA epicentre of development, saying he shall be remembered for being painstaking and always subscribed to due diligence in carrying out his statutory tasks.
“There is time and season for everything under heaven and earth, Time to pick up appointment letter for a job and time to retire from work. I commend Engr Osaloni for his stainless and rewarding career life in Ekiti state Local Government service”, he said.
In his tributes, Ajayi further lauded the retiree’s efforts in effective management of staff and administration of files and important documents.
“Osaloni changed the ugly trend of looking for files and important documents in the LCDA, the council boss stated .
Ajayi who wished the retiree a blissful retirement life, urged him to take good care of his health and that he should find a way of engaging himself gainfully, so that he can continue to contribute to the development of the state in all spheres. .
In his address , the chairman, planning committee of the ceremony, Mr Christopher Arowolo, appreciated the council boss for considering it expedient to organize a befitting retirement ceremony for Engr. Osaloni.
Arowolo commended Engr Osaloni for his effectiveness and efficiency during his short time in the council area .
According to him Engr Osaloni is a good manager of men and resources who dislike laziness and indolence .
Hon Christianah Olaniyan and Mrs Olaofe who also spoke at the event praised the effort of Engr Osaloni for displaying high sense of dedication and commitment to duty while serving at the council area .
Having a reminiscence of his flourishing career, Engr Osaloni gave thanks to God for guiding him through his career life that began in old Ondo state.
He noted that he witnessed ups and downs during his career but return glory to God for a successful and rewarding career life .
According to him, his initial thought was that he would retire on grade level 14, but to the glory of God he retired on grade level 17.
, Engr Osaloni who was overwhelmed with emotions thanked the chairman for his cooperation and support throughout his tenure, calling on members of staff to be up and doing in discharging their duties .
Osaloni also appealed to them to be a good ambassadors of local government service in their post .
Directors and management in the LCDA presented gifts to the retiree in recognition of his service .
