WHEN WILL THIS EMBARRASSMENT STOP?

I wish to state unequivocally that, in my 25 years of service at Ekiti State University, I have never witnessed the level of remarkable development and achievement that the University has experienced in recent times.

In the two years since Professor Joseph Babatola Ayodele assumed office as Vice-Chancellor, his administration has consistently recorded one significant achievement after another—so numerous that they are increasingly difficult and embarrassing to enumerate.

The past two days have been marked by widespread jubilation throughout the University community. His Majesty, the Atayese I and Majekobaje of EKSU Kingdom, has once again demonstrated wisdom, leadership and determination by ensuring that the long-standing barrier to progression to Grade Level 14 was finally removed.

We had scarcely recovered from the excitement and joy generated by this significant achievement when another welcome development emerged: Ekiti State University FM 97.3 is now live on air on testing transmission!

Indeed, it is true that “When the righteous rule, the people rejoice.” (Proverbs 29:2)

As a proud staff member of this great University, I wish to express the hope that this kind of “joyful embarrassment”—characterised by meaningful achievements, sustained progress and unprecedented accomplishments—will continue at EKSU.

Our Vice-Chancellor, please accept my sincere congratulations.

A mo lórè!
More victories, more achievements and more joyful embarrassments for EKSU.
