Speaking at the event, Hon. Dapo Kolawole, Director of Strategy, Advancement and Partnership and member of the Governing Council, emphasised the importance of aligning staff responsibilities with the university’s vision, mission, core values and institutional culture.

He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to quality education, urging staff to demonstrate dedication, consistency, professionalism and excellence in the discharge of their duties.

In her remarks, Associate Professor Adenike Kolawole, a member of the Governing Council, called on staff to cultivate a strong sense of ownership, accountability, mentorship and proactive service delivery.

She stressed the need for staff to demonstrate empathy and care in their interactions with students, noting that a supportive learning environment was essential to students’ academic success and overall development.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charity Aremu, described every staff member as an ambassador of the university, emphasising that the institution’s reputation and growth depended largely on the collective commitment of its workforce.

She identified academic excellence, effective teaching, impactful research, digitalisation, professional conduct and strategic external partnerships as critical factors in strengthening the university’s institutional standing and global visibility.

Aremu urged staff to actively promote students’ achievements, publicise institutional success stories, participate in university programmes and develop professional networks that would improve the institution’s recognition and competitiveness.

She maintained that building a reputable university required a shared commitment to high standards, innovation and continuous improvement across all departments and units.

The bootcamp also featured an interactive session on quality assurance, moderated by the university’s Public Relations Officer.

Contributors to the session included Dr Olutayo, Head of the Department of Computing; Elder Oluranti Olu-Ajayi, Chief Laboratory Scientist; Mr Kayode Aladegbehingbe, Acting Bursar; and Dr Olowolaju, Head of the Department of Nursing.

The session provided an opportunity to discuss professional standards, institutional accountability and the collective responsibility of staff in sustaining quality service delivery and academic excellence.

As Venite University prepares for the 2026/2027 academic session, the bootcamp underscored the importance of integrity, innovation, teamwork and professionalism in translating the institution’s vision into measurable results.

The programme concluded with group photographs and the recitation of the Nigerian National Anthem, Ekiti State Anthem and Venite University Anthem.
