The attention of the Ikere Local Government has been drawn to claims in some quarters suggesting that the present administration has not taken proactive steps regarding the Ikere/Ado boundary matter.
This assertion is incorrect and does not reflect the concrete actions already taken by the council under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Sqn. Ldr. Rtd.) Olu Egbejoda Adamolekun.
For clarity, Chairman Adamolekun has consistently intervened to prevent encroachment on Ikere land, particularly around the Oke Opa and Sha-sha axis where the boundary concerns have been raised.
On multiple occasions, he has moved swiftly to stop activities capable of undermining Ikere’s territorial rights.
Most recently, a signpost erected at the disputed Oke Opa/Sha-sha area was removed and taken to the Ogoga Palace — a location open to all for verification.
A firm warning was also issued to the parties involved.
The attached video serves as clear evidence of this prompt and decisive action.
The Executive Chairman, Hon. (Sqn. Ldr. Rtd.) Olu Egbejoda Adamolekun, remains unwavering in his commitment to protecting the interests and territorial integrity of the people of Ikere.
He has never—and will never—ignore any matter that threatens the peace, rights, and boundaries of the community.
The public is therefore urged to verify information and seek accurate facts before making statements capable of misleading others or generating unnecessary tension.
Ikere Local Government, under this administration, remains vigilant and fully committed to safeguarding the land, heritage, and collective welfare of the people.
