The Executive Chairman of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government, Honourable Oluwatuyi Oluwagbenga, popularly known as CHENCO, has passionately charged staff of the council to continually see every day in public service as another golden opportunity to listen, learn, engage and work tirelessly toward the sustainable progress and development of grassroots communities.
The Chairman gave the inspiring admonition on Thursday during an interactive session with staff of the Department of Information and Civic Orientation, where he emphasized that responsive leadership, administrative discipline and humane governance remain the bedrock of meaningful development in any society.
Speaking with deep conviction and statesmanlike clarity, Honourable Oluwatuyi noted that the true strength of every government lies in the genuine connection it maintains with the grassroots, stressing that when leaders remain accessible, compassionate and closely connected to the people, governance naturally becomes impactful, people-oriented and development-driven.
According to him, public service should never be reduced to mere routine administrative obligations, but must rather be embraced as a sacred responsibility built on service, sacrifice, accountability and transformational leadership aimed at uplifting humanity and strengthening communal prosperity.
The council boss further reaffirmed his unwavering commitment toward the welfare, growth and professional advancement of workers, maintaining that workers’ welfare remains “optimal and not optional,” in line with the remarkable and trailblazing leadership philosophy of the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), whose administration, he said, continues to set beautiful and captivating reference points in good governance, workers’ inclusiveness and people-oriented administration across the state.
Honourable Oluwatuyi passionately declared that his administration would continue to prioritize policies and programmes capable of promoting productivity, harmonious industrial relationships, institutional growth and human capital development within the local government system.
In an emotionally reflective and visionary tone, the Chairman encouraged staff of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government and Ekiti State workers in general to remain steadfast, loyal, disciplined and professionally committed to service delivery, adding that collective determination, unity of purpose and administrative dedication would continue to build stronger communities and a brighter future for generations yet unborn.
He further emphasized that effective grassroots governance must be anchored on fairness, inclusiveness, visionary leadership and unbiased service to humanity, irrespective of political, social or personal affiliations.
Speaking confidently on the forthcoming governorship election, Honourable Oluwatuyi expressed strong optimism that the overwhelming support and goodwill of the people would translate into massive electoral victory for Governor Oyebanji, owing to the administration’s pragmatic, proactive and landmark achievements in infrastructural development, healthcare enhancement, educational upliftment, staff welfare, project execution and sustainable community development.
The Chairman also highlighted the cordial and mutually respectful relationship his administration enjoys with labour unions across Ekiti State, as well as the fatherly bond and harmonious interactions maintained with royal fathers and the traditional institution within and beyond the state.
