The entire youth of Ikere-Ekiti, on behalf of the indigenes of Ikere Kingdom, hereby requests and urges everyone not to drag our respected traditional institution into partisan politics.
Our King, His Imperial Majesty Oba Dr Alayeluwa, Adejimi Adu-Alagbado, Agirilala II, the Ogoga of Ikere Kingdom, is not a member of any political party.
It is of serious concern to all Ikere indigenes worldwide that the name of our father and highly respected first class Oba, the custodian of our cultural heritage, is being dragged into the mud by politicians for political gain !
The interest of the Kabiyesi, our father, the Ogoga of Ikere Kingdom, as we all know, is the best for his domain, Ikere Kingdom, Ekiti State, and Nigeria in general.
Kabiyesi has been using all his strength and wisdom to steer the affairs of Ikere HIGH and lending the same to Ekiti State.
Kindly excuse our King from your political issues. The Ogoga is a father to all Ikere sons and daughters at home and abroad , a position we want all to respect and honour.
Kabiyesi’s activities in Ekiti State as the current Chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers are in line with state government policies and reflect his role as a father to all, in collaboration with his brother Obas in Ekiti State.
We urge all politicians to go on with their campaigns and political activities without dragging our traditional institution, and most especially, His Royal Majesty’s name, into their politicking henceforth.
We implore all to continue to honour the revered throne of the Ogoga of Ikere-Ekiti.
Our Kabiyesi is a known man of peace, and peace brings unity, and unity brings development. That is the Ogoga of Ikere Kingdom for you.
We shall continue to support our royalty.
