EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede Orders Arrest Of Dismissed Staff

The Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Mr Ola Olukoyede, has reportedly ordered the arrest of Olakunle Alex Folarin, for unlawfully retaining Commission property, including an official Identity Card. According to the EFCC, these items should have been surrendered immediately upon his dismissal.

Folarin, who previously served as a driver at the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the EFCC, was recently dismissed from the Commission following allegations of certificate forgery. Despite his termination, he appeared on a matchmaking programme, prompting swift condemnation from the anti-graft agency.

In a statement issued by the EFCC, the Commission clarified that Folarin no longer holds any affiliation with the organisation and described his participation in the show as “misleading and inappropriate.”

The EFCC emphasised that it remains committed to upholding integrity and transparency in its operations. It urged the public to disregard any representation of Folarin as an EFCC officer, warning that such mischaracterisation undermines the credibility of the Commission’s work.
