The Executive Chairman of Gbonyin Local Council Development Area Hon Benedict Oluwadamilare Ajayi is set to distribute empowerment items to the people of the LCDA on Wednesday January 7th ,2025 at the council secretariat in Aisegba Ekiti .
The items for the empowerment ranges from motorcycles to grinding machines , sewing machines, food items,note books, customized school bags, cash, logistics support for security personnel and a variety of essential tools.
In a release signed and issued by the Director of Information and Civic Orientation for the LCDA, Omotayo Peter,he said the programme is designed to equip the people not just with items but with opportunities for dignity, stability and economic independence.
He noted that the council boss is embarking on this laudable initiative in a bid to deepening the fountain of dividend of democracy for the people in the council area .
Hon Benedict Oluwadamilare Ajayi said the beneficiaries of the items to be distributed were not selected based on political affiliation, religion nor ethnic , adding that the gesture is to appreciate the people for their solid support for his administration and that of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji administration.
Dignitaries and government functionaries expected to grace the event includes the Commissioner for Ministry of Local Government Hon Folorunso Olabode and his counter part from ministry of Rural Development Hon Femi Awe among others .
