The Head of Local Government Administration (HLA) of Aiyekire Local Government Area, Barr. Akintunde Cosmas, has urged Directors, Deputy Directors, and all senior management staff of the council to intensify efforts toward more efficient and accountable service delivery.
Barr. Akintunde gave the charge during the Treasury Board Meeting, which marked the final stage of preparations for the 2026 fiscal year budget. At the session, each Director presented their proposed budgetary envelopes toward shaping the council’s financial plan for the coming year.
He explained that the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Adeyemo Davis, had demonstrated full readiness to implement the proposed estimates once the legislative house grants approval later this month.
Speaking at the event, the Director of Budget, Planning, Research and Statistics, Mr. Olusomoka Thomas, described the meeting as a critical component of the annual budget cycle. He noted that the essence of the gathering was to harmonize and finalize the council’s total budgetary framework including overhead costs, capital expenditure, and personnel expenditure for the 2026 fiscal year.
Directors present at the meeting reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty to the Executive Chairman and expressed commitment to supporting the BAO-led administration in achieving its development goals for Aiyekire Local Government.
