In a bid to alleviate the challenges faced by parents of multiple birth children in Ekiti State, the wife of the Executive Chairman of Aiyekire Local Government, Mrs. Adeyemo Joy, has celebrated over 100 multiple birth children from seven communities within the local government area.
In her goodwill message, Mrs. Joy expressed her profound gratitude to Her Excellency, the wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Mrs. Olayemi Oyebanji, for her initiative and support in making this program a reality. She also thanked the Chairman of Aiyekire Local Government, Hon. Adeyemo Davies, for his advice and support.
Mrs. Joy advised parents to prioritize their children’s health and education, and to continually pray for their success. She distributed rice, beans, gari, spaghetti, and drinks to the parents, urging them to sustain the program through BAORESS and to continue supporting the Governor Biodun Oyebanji administration. She also appealed to them to register for Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) currently ongoing.
The event featured cultural performances, and the parents and children were visibly joyful and excited. Beneficiary parents, Mrs. Adewole from Ode Ekiti and Mrs. Adejoke Ogundaro from Agbado, expressed their gratitude to Her Excellency Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji and Mrs. Adeyemo Joy for the gesture.
Notable attendees included Barr. (Mrs.) Ajayi, Chairperson of Ekiti East ALGON, Mrs. Adeyanju, wife of the Aiyekire Vice Chairman, and women leaders across the local government.
