The atmosphere at the Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government NULGE Hall came alive on Monday as staff gathered for a glorious and soul-lifting Quarterly Thanksgiving Service, transforming the venue into a sanctuary of heartfelt praise, joyous celebration, and grateful adoration to God for His unfailing faithfulness.
Elegantly adorned in beautifully coordinated Ankara attire with matching accessories, staff from various departments radiated unity and excellence as they lifted melodious songs of thanksgiving, vibrant dances, and joyful praises in appreciation for God’s gift of life, sound health, wisdom, protection, diligence, promotions, and His sustaining grace in both their official duties and family lives.
Leading by inspiring example, the Administrative Head of the Local Government, Mrs. Akinbobola Deborah-Bosede, danced with uncommon humility and heartfelt devotion, reminiscent of King David’s joyful celebration before the Lord.
She reminded staff that while praise remains a divine obligation, excellence in service is equally an act of worship. She therefore urged everyone to uphold the timeless virtues of discipline, punctuality, confidentiality, diligence, and unwavering commitment to duty, while commending the workforce for their remarkable culture of punctuality and dedication.
The NULGE Chairman, Comrade Aina Olawole Festus, added colour and inspiration to the occasion with energetic praise and an uplifting message, describing the prevailing peace, progress, and stability in Ekiti State and Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government as abundant reasons for continuous thanksgiving.
He encouraged staff to remain faithful in their responsibilities, expressing confidence that God would continue to crown their labour with greater achievements and brighter days ahead.
Delivering a stirring exhortation, the IILG Prayer Chaplain, Pastor Blessing Olowoloba, challenged the gathering to emulate the steadfast faith and sacrificial praise of the great biblical heroes whose enduring legacies continue to inspire generations across the world.
Adding to the joy of the celebration, thoughtful gifts, household items, and refreshments were distributed to staff under the diligent coordination of Comrade Mrs. Ojuolape, Trustee of NULGE, whose transparent and orderly leadership ensured a seamless exercise that left participants with smiles and hearts full of gratitude.
The Quarterly Thanksgiving Service was more than a ceremonial gathering; it was a powerful affirmation that when gratitude becomes a culture, unity is strengthened, excellence is inspired, and God’s blessings continue to rest upon an institution.
It was indeed a memorable celebration of faith, fellowship, and service—an event that will remain a shining reference point in the annals of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government.
