The Executive Chairman of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Oluwatuyi Oluwagbenga (CHENCO), has called on members of staff of the Local Government to uphold the enduring values of the Civil Service by embracing discipline, professionalism, punctuality, confidentiality, integrity, and accountability in the discharge of their official responsibilities.
Addressing the staff, through their respective Department Directors,the Chairman admonished staff to refrain from spreading unverified information, baseless allegations, and workplace gossip, stressing that such attitudes weaken institutional progress and hinder administrative excellence. He urged them instead to cultivate unity, diligence, and a culture of positive engagement that will further strengthen the Local Government system.
Hon. Oluwatuyi also expressed profound appreciation to the staff and the good people of Irepodun/Ifelodun for their unwavering support for the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), during the last gubernatorial election.
He appealed for even greater commitment and solidarity as he prepares for his second-term chairmanship election, coming up in November,expressing confidence that continuity in leadership will usher in greater dividends of democracy and accelerated development across Irepodun/ Ifelodun Local Government
The Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining the people-oriented and humane leadership style for which he is widely admired, promising to continue prioritising productive relationships, constructive advice, and responsive governance that will positively impact the lives of the people.
In his remarks, the Executive Secretary, Mr. Adelupo, gave thanks to God for the Governor’s successful emergence for a second term, describing it as a landmark achievement in Ekiti State’s democratic history.
He further commended Governor Oyebanji’s remarkable developmental strides, highlighting transformative investments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and the provision of solar-powered boreholes across communities in Igede and Awo Ekiti, alongside sustained support for students, orphans, and other vulnerable members of society..
The Administrative Head of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government, Mrs. Akinbobola, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Oluwatuyi for his compassionate and inclusive leadership towards staff and the people of Igede and Awo Ekiti.
She also lauded Mr. Adelupo for his exemplary professionalism, diligence, and selfless administrative stewardship, praying that greater accomplishments and higher responsibilities await him.
The gathering concluded on a note of optimism, unity, and renewed determination, with the management,reaffirming their collective resolve to promote excellence in public service and work together for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government and Ekiti State at large.
