As the countdown to the June 20 gubernatorial election gathers momentum, the Chairman of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area, Honourable Oluwatuyi Oluwagbenga, has passionately appealed to all registered voters across Igede, Awo-Ekiti and the entire Ekiti State to come out en masse and cast their votes for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO).

Speaking on Tuesday during an intensive grassroots mobilization campaign, Honourable Oluwatuyi delivered a vibrant message filled with hope, conviction, and confidence in the administration of Governor Oyebanji. He described the governor as a visionary leader whose three years in office have been marked by transformational governance, infrastructural renaissance, economic growth, and people-oriented policies.

According to the council chairman, the remarkable achievements recorded under Governor Oyebanji’s administration have become visible reference points of purposeful leadership.

He highlighted massive road construction projects across the state, strategic investments in healthcare delivery, continuous improvements in the education sector, and the significant enhancement of the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

Honourable Oluwatuyi further applauded the commissioning of the iconic double-lane overhead bridge, describing it as a symbol of modern development and a testament to Governor Oyebanji’s unwavering commitment to infrastructural advancement.

He also noted the foundation laying of the Ekiti Knowledge Zone, a groundbreaking project expected to position Ekiti as Nigeria’s emerging hub for innovation, technology, entrepreneurship, and job creation.

The chairman equally referenced the commissioning of the permanent zonal headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) along the Old-Iyin Road by the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, as further evidence of the growing national recognition and strategic relevance of Ekiti State under Governor Oyebanji’s leadership.

In an emotional appeal to the electorate, Honourable Oluwatuyi urged party faithful, community leaders, youths, women, and all eligible voters not to relent in their house-to-house mobilization efforts.

He emphasized that democracy thrives when citizens actively participate in the electoral process and allow their votes to speak for their collective aspirations.

“The achievements of Governor Oyebanji are visible for all to see. The roads, educational reforms, healthcare interventions, youth empowerment initiatives, and economic development projects are eloquent testimonies of a government committed to the welfare of its people. These noble accomplishments deserve overwhelming support at the polls,” he stated.

He encouraged voters to embrace a positive and patriotic mindset by exercising their civic responsibility, stressing that voter apathy should not be allowed to undermine the progress already achieved.

According to him, a massive electoral victory for Governor Oyebanji would not only affirm the confidence of Ekiti people in his administration but would also demonstrate their appreciation for the developmental partnership between Ekiti State and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Honourable Oluwatuyi concluded by calling on all stakeholders to remain steadfast, united, and committed to the collective vision of a greater Ekiti.

He expressed confidence that Governor Oyebanji’s second term would further consolidate the gains already recorded and usher in a new era of prosperity, sustainable development, and inclusive governance for all citizens.

As the election day approaches, the message remains clear and resonant across communities: “let every vote count, let every voice be heard, and let the mandate for continuity and progress be overwhelmingly reaffirmed through the ballot box.”
