The Executive Chairman of Ajoni Local Council Development Area, Ambassador (Otunba) Michael Ogungbemi, PMO, FCPA, has sent heartfelt congratulations to Muslim residents and children across Ajoni LCDA, Ayedun Ekiti, as they celebrate Eid al-Adha and Children’s Day.
Otunba Ogungbemi described Eid al-Adha as a reminder of faith, sacrifice, humility, and love for one another. He urged the Ummah to carry the spirit of the season beyond the celebration by promoting peace, tolerance, and unity in every community within the council.
“This season calls us to reflect on what truly matters: obedience to Allah, compassion for our neighbors, and the strength we draw from standing together, regardless of faith or politics,” he said.
The Chairman thanked the Muslim community for their consistent support and cooperation since his administration began. He noted that their trust and goodwill continue to drive the push for people-oriented projects and grassroots development.
Addressing the children, Otunba Michael called them “the heartbeat of Ajoni LCDA and the future we are building.” He pledged that his administration will continue to invest in their education, safety, and well-being to ensure every child has a fair chance to thrive.
“Our children deserve to grow up in an environment filled with love, opportunity, and hope. Their smiles today are why we work tirelessly for a better tomorrow,” he said.
He reassured residents that welfare, development, and inclusive governance remain top priorities. Programmes and policies aimed at improving livelihoods and accelerating progress across Ajoni’s communities will continue to receive full attention.
Otunba Ogungbemi also appealed to those with the means to support the less privileged during the festivities, so no family feels left out. He advised against overspending for show, noting that financial discipline preserves dignity and peace in the long run.
“As long as there is life, there will be more chances to celebrate in greater abundance and joy,” he said.
The Chairman called on the people of Ekiti State to sustain their support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election. He described the governor as a leader with vision, compassion, and a clear commitment to the welfare of the people. He stressed that continuity in leadership will deepen gains in infrastructure, workers’ welfare, youth development, and accountable governance already being felt across the state.
He closed with prayers that Almighty Allah accepts the sacrifices offered, blesses every home with peace and prosperity, and grants the Muslim faithful and children of Ajoni LCDA many more years of celebration in health and happiness.
Eid Mubarak to all Muslim faithful.
Happy Children’s Day to our amazing children.
May Ajoni LCDA continue to rise in unity and progress.
