Adamolekun Praises CDS Oluyede for Boosting Healthcare in Ikere

The Executive Chairman of Ikere Local Government, Hon. (Sqn. Ldr. Rtd.) Olu Egbejoda Adamolekun, has praised the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, for his philanthropic gesture in facilitating the construction of the Grace Oluyede Medical Laboratory at the State Specialist Hospital, Ikere Ekiti.

Hon. Adamolekun gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen shortly after the commissioning of the ultra modern medical facility. He described the project as a significant boost to healthcare delivery in Ikere Local Government and its surrounding communities, noting that the fully equipped laboratory would enhance medical diagnosis and improve the quality of healthcare services available to the people.

The facility was commissioned on behalf of the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, by the Ekiti State Commissioner for Health, Dr Bankole Filani.

The Council Chairman, who attended the event alongside his counterpart, Hon. Rufus Ige Olorunfemi, expressed appreciation on behalf of the government and people of Ikere Local Government to the Chief of Defence Staff for remembering his roots and contributing meaningfully to the development of the community.

He also called on other well meaning sons and daughters of Ikere Kingdom to emulate the noble gesture, stressing that government cannot carry out development efforts alone. He emphasised the need for collective participation and partnership in advancing community development and improving the wellbeing of the people.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by dignitaries including the Eyesorun of Ikere Kingdom, members of the Ogoga in Council, leaders and stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress, government functionaries, and members of the state government delegation.

Hon. Adamolekun reaffirmed the commitment of the local government to initiatives and partnerships that will continue to promote development and make Ikere Kingdom greater.
