IKOLE CONSTITUENCY TWO LEADERS BACK ARIBASOYE FOR ANOTHER TERM

Key stakeholders from Ikole Constituency II have unanimously thrown their weight behind the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, to represent the constituency for another term.

The meeting, held in Ado-Ekiti, had in attendance leaders from the various wards that make up the constituency, including Chief Alaba Abejide, Chief Ola Adeniyi, Chief Ranti Adebisi (Opomulero), Chief Biodun Akin-Fasae, High Chief Raphael Agbana, and Barr. Akinwale Adeyeye, among others.

Moving the motion to adopt Aribasoye ,Chief Akin-Fasae justified the motion by citing the Speaker’s excellent representation of the constituency and his outstanding legislative performance.

The motion was seconded by Chief Adebisi, who also had earlier applauded Aribasoye’s performance as Speaker of the 7th Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), noting that he enjoys the support of a majority of the constituents.

The Leaders and ward representatives took turns to speak on issues bordering on the progress of the constituency and areas that deserve greater attention in the coming years.

In his remarks, Rt. Hon. Aribasoye expressed appreciation to the leaders for the overwhelming support and adoption of his candidacy, assuring them that the gesture would not be taken for granted.

“I am honoured by this overwhelming endorsement. I see it as a rare privilege. This is not because I am the best or the most perfect, but a function of the favour I have received from you all through God,” he said.

He also promised to build on current achievements while making further efforts to strengthen equity where necessary.

“I wholeheartedly accept this nomination to represent you for one more term, with a promise to address any identified gaps,” he added.
