The Executive Chairman of Ikere Local Government has warmly commended Engr. Henrich Bankole Akomolafe, former PDP House of Representatives candidate for Ekiti South Federal Constituency I in the 2023 election, for taking a bold and visionary step by joining the progressive fold.

Speaking to newsmen after the well attended political gathering held at “Ojude BAO,” where Engr. Henrich officially decamped to APC, the Chairman said Akomolafe’s decision demonstrates courage and a strong commitment to good governance. It shows that leaders who value progress continue to embrace the APC platform.

Chairman Adamolekun noted that the remarkable achievements of Governor Biodun Oyebanji and his deputy, Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye, including policies that have transformed lives across Ekiti State and their strong grassroots leadership, played a key role in inspiring this move.

He emphasized that strong leadership, accountability, and a genuine focus on people’s welfare continue to attract credible leaders to the APC.

The event was attended by Governor Abiodun Oyebanji, Deputy Governor Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye, Speaker Rt Hon Adeoye Aribasoye, former Governor Ayodele Fayose, APC stalwarts, commissioners, special advisers, political leaders, and members of the State Working Committee.

Chairman Adamolekun expressed confidence that Ikere will deliver an emphatic victory, winning all 11 wards for BAO/MCA and supporting President Tinubu in the forthcoming governorship and general elections.
