The Executive Chairman of Ekameta Local Council Development Area, Hon. Dr. Leye Adeniji, has called on Christian and Muslim faithfuls in the area to pray for continued peace and tranquility as the June 20 governorship election approaches.
In a statement, Dr. Adeniji reflected on the coincidence of Ash Wednesday and the start of Ramadan, describing it as a blessed moment for both Christians and Muslims worldwide. He urged adherents of both faiths to pray for the re-election of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for a second term.
Dr. Adeniji pledged his administration’s support to Christians and Muslims in Erijiyan, Ikogosi, and Ipole Iloro-Ekiti, encouraging them to pray for the progress and development of Ekameta LCDA. “Let us all come together to pray for peace, stability, and continued development in our community,” he said.
