The Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Marketing Edge Mr.John Olutope Ajayi will be laid to rest on Friday January 16th,2026 in his home town, Ijan Ekiti in Gbonyin Local Council Development of Ekiti State following a series of burial rites scheduled across Lagos and Ekiti .
According to burial programme released by the family of the media icon wake keep is scheduled to hold on Thursday January 15th, at chief Ajayi’s country home opposite General Hospital Ijan Ekiti at 6 pm
The final burial mass will take place on Friday 16th January,2026 at James Catholic church Ijan Ekiti at exactly 11am, after which interment will follow. A reception for guests is planned immediately after the burial at his residence.
Ajayi,a respected media entrepreneur and marketing communication expert, was regarded as a key figure in Nigeria’s advertising and media industry ,where he made significant contributions through Marketing Edge.
