The Ekameta Local Council Development Area (LCDA) kicked off the new year with a special prayer and thanksgiving service, marking the resumption of work. Rev. Dr. Paul Oluwayanmi Aghedo, Pastor-in-Charge of First Baptist Church, Ikogosi Ekiti, delivered a sermon, urging Management and Staff to consider themselves privileged to have witnessed the new year.

Taking his text from Genesis 12:10-20, Rev. Aghedo encouraged stakeholders to seek divine guidance, citing Abraham’s example, and emphasized the need for personal encounters with God. He called on everyone to seek God’s direction and grace for recovery.

In his address, Executive Chairman Hon. Dr. Leye Adeniji expressed gratitude to God for granting Staff the opportunity to welcome the new year. He urged everyone to walk with God, cultivate love, and look forward to the completion of ongoing projects, including the Secretariat complex and community shopping centers.

The Head of Local Government Administration encouraged Staff to be diligent and improve attendance. The new Director of Finance, Mr. Tope Jemiseye, was introduced. The program featured praises, worship, prayers, and exhortation.
