Hon. Omoleye Rolls Out Bursary, Postgraduate Grant Scheme to Tackle Students’ Financial Struggles
In an intervention aimed at addressing the rising cost of education and its impact on access to learning, the lawmaker representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II, Hon. Abiodun Omoleye, has unveiled a bursary and postgraduate grant scheme for students in his constituency.
The initiative, announced in a statement by the HBO Media Team, targets indigent but deserving students from Ekiti West, Efon, and Ijero Local Government Areas, offering financial assistance to those enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in recognized institutions across Nigeria.
Hon. Omoleye described the scheme as a practical demonstration of his commitment to education, youth empowerment, and sustainable development, stressing that no society can make meaningful progress without investing in its human capital.
He noted that the intervention was designed to cushion the financial pressures many families face, which often hinder students from completing their education.
The lawmaker added that the initiative is expected to broaden educational opportunities, enhance skills acquisition, and prepare beneficiaries for leadership roles in the future.
According to the statement, undergraduate students are to apply via the dedicated link: https://forms.gle/SUW6VPzZ35gf3V3VA, while applicants for Master’s and Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes can submit their entries through: https://forms.gle/9V5rm6uBSJaw1j6d8.
The lawmaker emphasized that applicants must be indigenes of Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II and that all submissions would undergo thorough verification to ensure that only qualified candidates benefit from the scheme.
Hon. Omoleye reaffirmed his dedication to empowering young people through education, urging eligible students to seize the opportunity and share the information widely, as part of efforts to build a more enlightened and prosperous constituency.
