…as he doles out cash stipends to beneficiaries across seven wards
The Executive Chairman of Ikere Local Government, Hon. (Sqn. Ldr. Rtd.) Olu Adamolekun Egbejoda, has reaffirmed that Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and his Deputy, Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye, remain the best and only choice to sustain the good governance and development currently being enjoyed in Ekiti State.
Adamolekun made this assertion on Monday during his Ilapetu/Ijao Ward meeting, where he urged massive support for the Oyebanji-led administration. He described the Governor and his Deputy as visionary leaders with integrity and genuine passion for grassroots development.
In further demonstration of his commitment to the welfare of the people, the Chairman also distributed this month’s cash stipends in a special way to beneficiaries across the seven wards of Ikere Local Government. The presentation, held at Ilapetu/Ijao Ward, drew together representatives and beneficiaries from all wards in the council area.
He explained that the initiative is aimed at providing immediate relief and empowerment to households, thereby complementing Governor Oyebanji’s broader agenda of shared prosperity.
While appreciating the beneficiaries for their consistent support, Adamolekun reminded party members that the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye, is a proud daughter of Ikere and wife to Ilapetu/Ijao Ward. He stressed the need for loyalty to their own, urging members not to abandon her for anyone else.
The Council Chairman maintained that Ikere people will remain resolute in their support for the Deputy Governor and will resist any attempt to pitch them against her or the present administration.
Adamolekun further charged party faithful to remain steadfast and not be deceived by any individual or group. He expressed confidence that Governor Oyebanji and Deputy Governor Afuye will emerge victorious in the upcoming APC gubernatorial primary, given their proven track record and delivery of dividends of democracy.
Beneficiaries of the stipends and participants at the meeting commended Chairman Adamolekun for his exemplary leadership, applauded Governor Oyebanji for his people-oriented governance, and pledged their unwavering loyalty to both the Governor and the Deputy Governor, who they proudly described as their daughter.
